“Yes, it is a little heavier than a cheap vacuum you can get at Best Buy. ”
“I like that it is a bit quieter than either of my other vacuums (it's even quieter than my record cleaning machine). ”
“The only complaint - attachment hose is not very long and handle sometimes gets in the way. ”

Spent good money to put high end Berber carpet in the house with persian carpets in the main formal area, then found out the challenges of having a single machine manage the cleaning without ruining the investment! The rollers that spin to create the air fow can catch the loops! I looked at lots of options from Simplicity to Dyson and the Miele 7280 was the Lexus of them all. One boundary condition for us was an upright. The Miele has the same hinged movement as the Dyson so it is very easy to move around and the attachments are plug and play with simple end member push ins, it is very seamless to go from wood floors to marble to Berber carpet to attachments. LED headlights and the ability to go flat for under furniture are a big plus. I am using the suction only which is adjustable for now until I need to run the brush for a deep clean, by itself it does a great job. The HEPA filter is the best in business which was also a consideration. What really sets off this Vacuum is the design, it is very high end at a reasonable price of $750. I am considering leaving it out of the closet it looks that good! The Dyson looks like a plastic toy and the Slimplicity looks like something my grandmother still uses, this is the Mercedes of Vacuum cleaners.
