We bought this ProTeam 15XP (1500XP) from GreatVacs.com in November 2011. I wanted to wait a while to write a review to be able to give a complete evaluation. So here it is:My wife and I have had 4 vacuums in the 17+ years we have been married. When we first got married we had a 1990 Electrolux upright, in fact we were still using that in the basement until last month. Over the years we tried other vacuums assuming that they would be more "advanced" than our "old" Electrolux. However we soon found out that none of them were nearly as good or practical as the Electrolux. We tried Hoover, Panasonic, and Dirt Devil models all in the $200 to $400 range. However, we found ourselves going back to the Electrolux every time. So last year my wife said she wanted another Electrolux for Christmas. I did a lot of research, and as most of you know, Electrolux from the 90's is actually sells under the Aerus name now. So that is what we were going to buy, that is until I saw the price of an Aerus. So I started looking at "Electrolux Styled" machines. That is when I found the ProTeam/Pro Care.After spending a lot of time reading reviews and even calling the company, I decided to by ProTeam/ ProCare 15XP (1500XP) with the on board tools from GreatVacs.com. And I can tell you we are glad we made this purchase. We LOVE this machine. We have 2 younger children and a couple pets, so we are constantly cleaning up. One thing we absolutely needed was the ability to shut off the brush roll. We have 50% carpet, and 50% hardwood floors. The others we tried said they worked on both, but nothing comes close to this machine. You have the ability to shut the brush off manually, or when you pull out the hose, it automatically shuts off.We love everything about this machine. The on board attachments are a great plus. The older Electrolux had the detachable hose, so when you wanted to use it, you'd have to go to the closet and grab it and put on. The only negative I can think of is that the unit tips over when using the hose if you don't position correctly. However the other machines had the same problem, if not worse! It's best to hold the machine while you are using the hose. We bought the extra attachments for doing the stairs, and it works great too!In a nut shell I would highly recommend this machine. I am sure there are better vacuums on the market, but for under $400 I highly doubt there are! I should know, I've tried 3 others!
