I was surprised at how much dirt and dust this little vaccum picks up. We have a long hair cat and it also gets the pet hair up off the floor and rugs. We have tile, wood and rugs in our house. Beware if you are a geek household; it doesn't like cords. Get them up off the floor before you set the Roomba down.
