One of the things that sets this brush apart from non-turbo brushes is its ability to pickup grit. I've used this when refinishing floors to vacuum up between changing grit sizes. One pass gets it all. That's a big time saver. The design of this thing seems to make it very capable of picking up heavier materials, like sand. I've been using it with a Festool HEPA midi dust extractor and the Festool 497700 Tradesman / Installer Cleaning Set. The stainless steel wand that comes with that kit is much easier to vacuum with than the flexi plastic wands.For those who may be interested, the last I checked, this brush satisfies the US EPA criteria for "beater bar" for RRP work.I also agree with the previous reviewer, that this thing is very light and maneuverable.One note: The brush will work with the Festool 27 mm hose, but the suction will not be terribly effective and the brush will not rotate with much torque. I'd recommend getting the 35 mm hose (also part of the Installer Cleaning Set). The larger diameter hose easily doubles the effective suction of the vacuum.Another note: After seeing how well these things performed on the job, I purchased another set of all of the above for use in my home.
