This is good for dust and small articles. The cup is not very big but I did manage half the guinea pigs cage (2'x6') before having to empty the cup and have another go. Picked up everything with great suction until the cup was completely full. Also great with hair on bedding and carpet pieces. The foldout nozzle works ok on crevices, not super great but not a disappointment either. Decent length cord is strong but flexible, not apt to shear or crack.The noise is subdued, the guinea pigs got used to it within a few minutes. It certainly wasn't as loud as the standalone vac which scared them senseless. This would be good for pets.
