I purchased this sweeper for a specific reason: to clean my indoor/outdoor rugs and my house rugs like runners and area rugs. It is designed for low carpet and it works well for these rugs. I am surprised as to how much the dirt container holds. I have purchased several other brands of cordless electric brooms and sweepers to use for these rugs and they never picked up as well as the Rubbermaid Commercial Sweeper picks up. The part I like the best is that I don't have to charge it to use it.I did research before I purchased this sweeper and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
